A bunch of us had them - were missing birds like crazy and ended up dumping them after reading about this. I will disclose, I shoot a Beretta 391 and a Retay Masai Mara in 20g. In terms of weight, you are looking at a range of around 6-7 lbs, unloaded.Benelli is a much higher quality that franchi. But franchi is a solid budget semi auto. Benelli will stand behind there product until your grand children own than gun. Thats the major difference between higher end brands and middle of the road brand. Higher quality control and better service if things break.The a300 will shoot softer so it will help for high volume shooting or shooting with heavy loads. Yet, Benelli brand of Beretta hasn't done a bloody thing to fix it in all these years. It is a shame, for there isn't much to get excited about in 20 gauge auto-land today, and there hasn't been for many years.The Benelli will fire anything down to 1 oz target loads in the 12 gauge and 7/8 oz in the 20 gauge with absolutely no problems. A lot of viewers seemed to really enjoy this gun as well. I was shooting the Waterfowl Elite edition but the plain camo version operates the same and still comes in under $1,000. Overall great gun. .
