If you have lots of space to cover, weeding can be tedious, time-consuming work, not to mention how hard it can be on your back...Ergo it is the most ubiquitous in the enemies it can do decent damage to. Personally I prefer fire type staves. I currently use a 10% stat increase Masterwork Staff of Corruption that deals 173 DPS at 82 Fire damage, plus 25 Spirit damage due to a Superb Spirit Rune, plus 39% attack bonus, plus 40% armor penetration, plus 17% crit damage bonus.It's a bit generic, as its probably one of the more common staff looks from previous games.
